ALEX stands for "Alabama Learning Excellence". The ALEX website offers many valuable resources to teachers. Such as: proper course study guidelines for all grade levels, teacher, student and administrator web links to tremendous amounts of information, lesson plans, a workspace to create your own lesson plans and professional learning for teachers to expand their knowledge and stay updated on the current news and techniques.
The ALEX website also has very useful links included on the site, such as the thinkfinity website which also offers a variety of useful tools to teachers. I believe that if and when teachers use these sites they greatly broaden their horizons as educators. Now that I have discovered these sites, I don't see how I could live without them as a teacher.
