The video podcast on iTunes, "Growth" vs. "Fixed" Minds, was very interesting. The study that this video was about showed that some people think that they are born with "fixed" minds, which means that they are born with all of the intelligence that they will ever have. The other people think that they have "growth" minds, which means that the more that they learn the more their brain is used and the more their intelligence increases.
The study concluded that people do indeed have "growth" minds and their intelligence is not "fixed". This means a lot to me as an educator for many reasons. But especially because this means that there are no limits or boundaries as to how intelligent that my students or myself can become.
