Videos
Dr. Strange,
The videos were very helpful. Especially for the brochure and the spreadsheets. However, I did not like the fact that you did them on the mac which is a lot different than the p.c.s that we have in the classroom. I think that you should do them on the kind of computer that your students have to use in the class so that we don't get confused. Because, honestly, p.c.s are cheaper and most of us will probably never go to mac.

What I Learned
I have learned many things in Dr. Strange's course this semester. I knew several things about MS Word already, but I did learn about setting tabs. I learned a lot about spreadsheets though. I learned how to create a tri-fold brochure as well.
However, I don't understand why we couldn't use a pre-existing template for it. Because in real life, we probably won't ever have to create a brochure in that way. I also did not like using google for everything. It might have been a little different if google had all of the bugs worked out of everything, but they don't yet.
I do think that most schools provide MS Office for their teachers, so I think that using power point and excel would be appropriate since it is what most people know and use. But overall I enjoyed the class and everything that I learned.

Wikipedia
Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia which can be edited by anyone. It can sometimes be a reliable source of information. However, sometimes big name companies and politicians go in and take out all of the negative facts or opinions and replace them with things that make them look good.
So if Wikipedia is used, it should be cross-referenced with another source for accuracy. Also, there is now a system in place that will allow users to view what has been edited and who it was edited by.

Still More on iTunes
The video podcast on iTunes, "Growth" vs. "Fixed" Minds, was very interesting. The study that this video was about showed that some people think that they are born with "fixed" minds, which means that they are born with all of the intelligence that they will ever have. The other people think that they have "growth" minds, which means that the more that they learn the more their brain is used and the more their intelligence increases.
The study concluded that people do indeed have "growth" minds and their intelligence is not "fixed". This means a lot to me as an educator for many reasons. But especially because this means that there are no limits or boundaries as to how intelligent that my students or myself can become.
