I definitely believe that in this day and age you have to be technologically literate. Otherwise, your are really limiting the broad horizon of possibilities for not only yourself, but your students as well.

I think that you don't have to know everything that there is to know about technology, but that you have to try to learn whatever you can or else you are at risk to fall behind very far. It is not efficient when your students are the ones having to show you how to work your own equipment. I have seen teachers back when I was in high school who couldn't even figure out how to work a v.c.r., not a d.v.d. player, a v.c.r.!

In my opinion there are several things you should know, but a few that you must know.
1. a v.c.r.
2. a d.v.d. player
3. a television
4. a projector
5. a cell phone
AND MOST OF ALL!!!
6. A COMPUTER AND THE INTERNET!!!
